Reference points
What the other ways to hire cost.
| Option | What it costs | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Contingency recruiter | 15-25% of first-year base salary | Replacement guarantees typically run 60-90 days. The fee is usually a share of base pay, so on a commission-heavy plan ask exactly what it’s calculated on. |
| In-house recruiter | $100,000-$120,000 a year in total pay | From one roofing company's job posting for a sales recruiting manager. Job ad spend comes on top of the salary. |
| Indeed sponsored jobs | $5-$499 a day budgets, pay-per-click | You pay for clicks, not hires, and you still screen every applicant yourself. Free posts are capped each month. |
| Recruitment-marketing agency | $2,500-$8,625+ a month starting prices | Ads and careers pages that bring in applicants, priced here for roofing companies. The screening and the hire stay with you. |
| Level | A one-time placement fee per hire, shared on the first call | You pay only when you hire. Close rate, pay history and references checked before you meet anyone. Free replacement if the rep doesn’t perform in the first 60 days. |
Posted and published figures, not what any one company paid. The in-house figure is a single posting; agency prices are starting points.
FAQ
Questions about cost.
Why isn't the price on this page?
It's a one-time placement fee per hire, and we share it with you on the first call, once we know the seat and before any work starts. You'll know the number before we do anything.
Is there anything to pay upfront?
No. There is no fee to start a search, and nothing to pay for the brief call, the search or the shortlist. You pay only when you hire.
When exactly do I pay?
When you hire a rep Level introduced to you. It's a single, one-time placement fee for that hire, with no monthly charges.
What if the rep quits?
If the rep doesn’t perform and is let go within 60 days of their first day, we run one replacement search at no extra cost, and you have 60 days to make that hire. It doesn’t cover reps who leave for other reasons, such as a lack of leads. Sales seats do turn over (B2B sales teams average 35% a year turnover), so it’s worth having. How the guarantee works.
Do sales managers cost the same as reps?
No. Sales manager and director searches cost more than rep searches, because they're harder searches with fewer qualified people. We share the fee for each seat on the first call.
Can we hire several reps at once?
Yes. Put the number of seats in your brief, along with the territories, and we'll plan the searches together on the first call.
Do reps pay Level anything?
No. Level is free for sales reps. The company that hires pays the fee.
