Privacy policy
Draft of Oct 20, 2026
This is a plain-English draft, not reviewed by a lawyer.
Marked gaps need real details before launch. A lawyer should also confirm these points:
- Legal entity name, registered address and privacy contact.
- Which service providers handle form data (hosting, email, CRM or webhook tools). Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless) since 24 Oct 2026.
- How long client briefs, rep applications and pay documents are kept.
- Whether pay documents themselves are ever shown to hiring companies, or only the figures verified from them.
- Which state privacy laws apply (for example California's CCPA/CPRA) and the exact rights wording they require.
- Phone and text consent language, if Level calls or texts people who use the forms.
- That the promises in the short version match how Level works today: rep profiles shared only for roles the rep chose, no sale of data, no targeted advertising or ad cookies, no marketing texts without consent, notice before changes apply.
Who we are
This site, levelhires.com, is run by [Legal entity name] (“Level”, “we”, “us”), [registered address]. Level recruits field salespeople for home service companies in the US.
Questions about this policy: hello@levelhires.com or the contact page.
The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms, plus basic technical data any website receives.
- We use it to recruit: to match home service companies with salespeople, and to answer you.
- If you’re a rep, we share your profile with a hiring company only for a role you’ve said you’re interested in.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.
What we collect
From hiring companies
When you ask for reps, we collect details such as your name, mobile number, email, company, the role and territory you’re hiring for, how many seats, your revenue band, and anything you tell us about your leads, average ticket and pay plan.
From sales reps
When you apply, we collect details such as your name and contact details, the role and trades you sell in, your experience, your metro, the sales figures and close rate you report, whether you prefer W-2 or 1099 work, and what you want in your next job.
To verify your close rate and pay history, we may ask for commission statements, W-2s or similar records. These contain sensitive financial information. We ask for them only for that check, and we treat them with extra care (see pay documents).
From anyone who contacts us
Your name, contact details and whatever you write in the message.
Automatically
Like any website, our servers receive technical data when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and when. We use it to run and secure the site. We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, the referring site, browser, device type and country. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you personally.
How we use it
- To reply to you and set up calls.
- To run a search: find reps for a hiring company, or roles for a rep.
- To verify a rep’s close-rate history and pay history before a hiring company meets them.
- To introduce a rep to a hiring company, with the rep’s agreement for that role.
- To keep records of searches and placements, including for our own guarantee to hiring companies.
- To keep the site working and secure, and to understand which pages are useful.
- To meet legal obligations.
Pay documents
Commission statements and W-2s are used to check that what a rep tells us about their sales and pay is accurate. Access is limited to the people at Level doing that check.
When we put a rep forward, the hiring company sees the figures we verified, such as close rate and sales over a period. [Confirm: whether the documents themselves are ever shared]
We keep these documents for [retention period], then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Who we share it with
- Hiring companies, when we introduce a rep for a specific role the rep wants to be considered for. Hiring companies see the rep’s profile and verified figures, not other reps’ information.
- Reps, when we describe a role. We share what a rep needs to judge the job, such as trade, territory, lead source and pay plan. [Confirm: when the company’s name is shared]
- Service providers who host the site and handle email and form data for us, under contract and only to provide that service. [list of providers]
- Authorities or advisers when the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
- A buyer or successor if Level is sold or merged, under the same promises as this policy.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not sell data to ad networks. Our analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) works without cookies.
Calls and texts
If you give us a phone number, we may call you about your inquiry or application. We won’t send you marketing texts without your consent. [SMS consent and opt-out wording, if texting is used]
How long we keep it
We keep client briefs and rep applications for [retention period] after our last contact, so we can come back to you about a future role or search. After that we delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and send you a copy;
- correct anything that’s wrong;
- delete it, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason;
- stop contacting you about new roles or searches.
Depending on where you live, for example California, state law may give you more rights, and we will honor them. We won’t treat you differently for using them. To make a request, use hello@levelhires.com or the contact page. We may need to confirm it’s you before we act.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect what you send us, and we limit who at Level can see pay documents. No system is perfectly secure, so send only what we ask for, and tell us straight away if you think something has gone wrong.
Children
This site is for adults looking to hire or be hired. It isn’t meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you before it applies.
