Job descriptions

Job description templates for in-home sales seats.

Written for the trades, not copied from a generic sales ad. Each one has duties, KPIs, requirements and a pay section with blanks for your numbers, plus a button that copies it as plain text.

What every closer ad needs

Six lines a proven rep looks for.

In our experience the best reps want three things: a clear plan they can check, commission paid on time, and enough good leads to earn. These six lines show them all three. Skip the no-ceiling pitch and give a real range.
  1. 01

    Where the leads come from

Tech leads, marketing, canvassers or self-gen, and how many issued appointments a week. It's the first thing a closer wants to know.

  2. 02

    The territory

How far a rep drives, and whether the area is theirs or shared.

  3. 03

The pay plan, with a worked example

Percent of sale or of gross profit, base or draw, and a realistic first-year range from what people in the seat earned. Strong reps want a plan they can calculate themselves.

  4. 04

    When commission pays

At signing, at install or at collection, and what gets charged back for cancels. Paying on time, every time, is one of the best recruiting lines you have.

  5. 05

    W-2 or 1099

Say which. Experienced reps have a preference and won't guess.

  6. 06

    What you'll ask for

Close rate by lead source and last-12-month sales in the application. Commission statements or W-2s before the offer.
